Danny had been thinking about texting John all day, but as the sun vanished beyond the horizon he finally sat down on the edge of the bed with his phone. He wrote a message- Then deleted it. Then another, which he also deleted.

Finally he wrote something he didn't hate.

Danny moved closer again, settling half on the other man's lap as he kissed him softly.

Danny moaned a little, stroking John's cheek and then resting his forehead against the other man's as he nodded a little in agreement.

He looked into Danny's eyes and smiled.

Danny laughed a bit, smiling and stealing another kiss.

"I think you're beautiful," he murmured.

"I always have to fall for liars, " he quipped. "But it's kind of you to say."

Life had not been kind and John showed every second of his age and then some. Grey was lightening the temples and he had deep lines around his eyes. It had been the majority of a day and he already had a bit of stubble.

"Beautiful," Danny replied firmly, kissing him again.

When Danny insisted, John almost believed it. He definitely felt it.

"You want to go to bed?" John mumbled into the kiss.

"We'll never get there if you don't stop," he teased, even as he ran his hands over Danny's body, not actually letting him go.

"You're the wizard, can't you teleport us there?" Danny teased, kissing him again before relenting and moving to get up.

"If only," he grinned as he reluctantly let go. With no shame at all, John shifted and reached into his pants to adjust his cock. He looked up at Danny with a queer little half smile, obviously smitten.

Danny chuckled softly, pushing his hair back and offering the other man his hand.

He took it and pulled himself up. Standing close, John studied him a moment then cracked a grin.

He deserved a little happiness...Chas could go top himself.

"C'mon," he said and slid his hand into Danny's.

It was a short trip to the bedroom, and Danny looked embarrassed as he moved to quickly clean up a bit.

While Danny tidied up and cleared off the bed, John kicked off his shoes and started to undress. He watched the man, wondering what someone so young and beautiful would see in him.

He was a disaster...and he knew it.

As he stripped out of his shirt he looked a little shy.
