Looking over at the sound of Hex's voice, Danny sighed, getting onto the train anyway. The car was empty, something that would usually be a rare treat, but now only made it impossible for Danny to hide from the other man.

"I think food and a night in with you is the best plan I've had all week," he smiled. Then he let go of Danny's hand to get down to the platform. They didn't have much of a wait before the train came and soon enough they were on their way.

It was a short enough ride back to Hex's, and soon they were heading into the house that Danny still found a touch intimidating.

"God, I think this place has grown..."

Hex chuckled at that.

"It's big," he agreed. "It felt just right when Spencer was here. Now I hardly even use most of it."

"Are you still considering renting a room?" Danny asked.

[just_hex]

"Yeah, but not to just anyone," he said. "And then, I tjink, maybe not because I do like me privacy. I don't know."

"Yeah, must be lovely to have all this space to yourself," Danny said sounding a touch envious.

"It is. It's so posh. I was surprised when Spencer offered to let me stay and rent from her. I hope she comes to visit so you can meet her," he said. Off came his jacket and his shoes and he started for the kitchen to see if he had everything to make a curry.

"Yeah? I'd like that. I'd like to meet her. ...I'd love it if you met some of my mates as well. I think Scotty's itching to meet you," he added.

"I'd like to meet him. You talk about him all the time so, yeah. Him and all your mates," he nodded.

Danny smiled at that and nodded, watching Hex for a long moment before stepping closer and kissing his cheek.

Hex smiled warmly at that and ducked his chin bashfully. Warmth spread through him and his cheeks coloured a little.

"You're sweet," he said softly. "I...I really hope I didn't ruin everything with what I said, Danny. About loving you. I mean, I do, but...I care about you. A lot. I'm not certain I know you well enough to be in love with you, though. Like you said. But I really hope I didn't ruin it all because I'd like to keep seeing you. Just you."

"We've been over this already. It's fine, it's forgotten, okay?" Danny soothed.

"I'm just embarrassed. I'm sorry," he replied, the colour in his cheeks remaining. "I know what you said. Forgotten, yeah? Yeah, I'll try to forget."

Danny smiled softly, touching Hex's arm, then stepping away to look around.

"So, do you film your show here?"

"Most of the time, yeah. We've made an arrangement to use the Hoist's dungeons in the morning hours sometimes if I need to do suspension or show furniture like a St. Andrew's cross or a spanking bench," he said casually. "But lot of the time we use the guest room. It's clean and not too decorated. Stanley says it has a nice angle of light, too."

"Can I see? Your props, I mean," Danny asked, genuinely interested.

"Yeah? Yeah, of course," he nodded. "Come on."

Hex lead the way to his room and in there he pulled out a foot locker from his closet for Danny to look through, then started to pull out things he had on pegs and hangers like leather pants and harnesses.

"Bit of everything," he said. "And I get more all the time. Free samples."

"Yeah? That's quite cool," Danny smiled, crouching low to have a look, and chuckling as he pulled out a toy that looked like an ice pop.

"What are your favourite bits of kit then? Or things you're itching to use but haven't yet?" he asked curiously.

Sexual desires, in Danny's opinion, were a good way to learn about a person.

"This is my favorite," he said, handing Danny a humbler. "It restricts the testicles back behind and forces the sub to stay on his hands and knees. And what I want to try that I haven't? Hmm...I think I've tried everything in here. At least once. I like a lot of it. I like this ring gag. It's hard rubber so you can bite a bit, but not enough to close your mouth. And this..."

He held up a tentacle dildo that vibrated and rotated to make it squirm.

"That's just fun."

"I've got to be honest, Hex. This looks like a bad night to me," Danny chuckled, pointing at the humbler. "This on the other hand..."

He took the tentacle and laughed as it squirmed. "That looks like it could be fun."

He smiled then, warm and kind. "It's brilliant you're doing your show. I wish there'd been something like it when I was a kid. ...I did so much stupid shit when I first came to London."

"That's exactly why I do it. Maybe people wil be a little wiser. Do it for good reasons, not get hurt or tolerate bad doms, learn why it can be fun and even strengthen relationships," he said.

"You're a good man," Danny smiled. "You've got a good heart, don't you?"

"I try. I really do try," he said. "I didn't used to. But I met this man, this Doctor, and he turned me life around. Opened me eyes to something bigger," Hex confessed.

"He the reason you became a nurse?" Danny asked.

"No. No, I was a nurse when I met him. I actually became a nurse because of me nan, believe it or not. She told me often I should do something for a living that someone would always need. I think she had it in her head that I'd become a cobbler, but I was always in love with the story of Florence Nightingale...so? Nurse," Hex explained.
