That uncomfortable flutter of nerves hit Danny again, and he was surprised by how hard it was to shake them off before nodding and following after Jack. He'd done this so many times, why was this any different? Perhaps because it had been so long, that was all he could think as he brushed the feelings away and found a smile.

Jack could taste it once they were in the lift. Adrenaline and anxiety. He couldn't tell, though, if Danny was excited or scared. He reached behind him to rub the man's lower back and said nothing. He simply escorted him to the room once they reached the third floor and let him inside.

"Ooh, nice room. They've renovated," he said as he looked around, giving Danny a bit of time to decide.
