Jack
(from here)
That uncomfortable flutter of nerves hit Danny again, and he was surprised by how hard it was to shake them off before nodding and following after Jack. He'd done this so many times, why was this any different? Perhaps because it had been so long, that was all he could think as he brushed the feelings away and found a smile.

"Are you alright?" he asked. "Do you- Do you need me to come see you? I can, if you need me. I always can be there when you need me, Hex. I love you."
no subject
"No. No, I don't want to interrupt you. Have a good time. I just really needed...I needed to talk to you. I love you, too," he said. "Just a bad night, is all. Are you...are you having a good time?" Hex asked.

Jack shook his head violently and waved his hand. He knew Hex, but a couple doses of Retcon had insured Hex didn't know him. Not that he'd admit that.
"Jack?" Hex asked, sounding blank. It was entirely possible he knew someone named Jack. He'd met a lot of people in his club days. "Alright, yeah. Say hi for me," Hex said warmly, thinking nothing at all might be amiss. "You don't have to end your fun. I just really needed to hear your voice. I knew you were busy. Erm, sorry..."
no subject
"Come get me," he said quietly, his voice far less steady than he'd have liked. "Right now. Please, come get me."
no subject
Hex heard it in his voice and didn't hesitate a beat.
"Where are you?" he asked. "We'll be in the ambulance, but we can be there in minutes..."
Jack didn't look at all bothered that Danny wanted to run.

"You know what? Ignore me, I'm being a dolt. I don't know what got into me just now. Have a good night, yeah? ...Oh, and do me a favour? That GPS I ordered for the car should have turned up today. It'll need updating though, could you plug it in for me, get it sorted?" he asked, hoping Hex would figure out what he was trying to say. ...After all, they didn't have a car.

Hex paused for a moment, then realised Danny wasn't safe. That upset him more than anything.
"Yeah, alright, yeah. Keep your phone on. I'll find you," he said softly.
Jack could hear him, but hevdidnt let on. He simply smiled and rubbed Danny's back.

He didn't pull away from Jack, doing his best to act natural.

Jack, for his part, was unperturbed
"You didn't tell him I fucked you," he said, fingers tracing up and down Fin's back. "You could have. Why not?"

Jack was quiet for a bit, fingers tracing patters on Danny's skin.
"He won't remember me," he said. He'd made sure of that. "And he doesn't need to be reminded of those years."

"Of course I didn't hurt him," Jack scoffed. "Torchwood has things available that means we don't have to hurt people They just don't remember. It's easier that way," he added, fully intending now to dose Danny, too.
no subject
"You had no right to do that to him. You don't get to decide what people live with," he said, pulling away and getting to his feet.
no subject
"Oh, but I do," Jack replied without moving.
no subject
"I think you should go. ...I think- I think you should go, and stay well away from me and Hex, alright?" Danny said, picking up his trousers and keeping his distance as he started to dress.
no subject
"Danny, calm down," Jack said. "This was just a good time, ok? Come on, let's have some water and just relax..."
no subject
"Do you think I'm thick or something? I'm no genius, not some spook, but I know the game. I'm not drinking your Koolaid, mate," Danny assured him, pulling his shirt on and opening the door. "You stay away from Hex. You hear me? You stay away, or I swear to you, I'll tear your whole world apart, Jack. I'm not losing another lover to some government bollocks. Not again. ...Never again. You all think you're so above it all- Bollocks you are. You're all teetering on a tower of bullshit, and I'd be glad to watch you all tumble."

Jack shot off the bad, shamelessly nude He caught Danny's arm and stood in the open doorway of the hotel room.
"You've got no idea what you've gotten yourself into," Jack said, then paused. "Ask Hex about the Doctor. Ask him. And then just see if you really want this to be real for you."
He let go, then.
"Have fun explaining the bruises."

There was an ambulance outside the hotel when Danny came down. Hex was standing outside of it. He waved off his mates and they drove away as Hex rushed toward Danny.
"Are you alright? I've already called an Uber. Come on," he said, wrapping an arm around him when he was close enough.

Hex looked to the hotel doors, frozen in place.
"The Doctor?" he said, holding Danny tighter. "Torchwood? No...no, that's not possible," he added, tugging at Danny.
Inklings tickled his memory. He could recall a blue coat and blue eyes. Questions about The Doctor...what had he said? He didn't doubt for a moment Danny was correct about danger. "We need to go."
no subject
"Yeah, we do."
